The members of the Media and Democracy Project (MAD) have lots to say about how to improve journalism in America. We wanted a place where each member could publish their work under a unified banner. So we started this Substack to share our reflections on the state of our information ecosystem and how we can make change. Think of this as a small magazine — written, edited, and published by the MAD team. Each piece reflects the opinions and style of its author and is not necessarily endorsed by MAD as a whole.
