This report is exceptional in every respect, just as Scott Pelley's courage is inspiring and deserving of this recognition. We need all the beacons of Freedom and Responsibility we can get. Bravo, Scott Pelley!

I will forward this to my contact list and urge them to follow your suggestion at the end of this report, just as I intend to do.

Silence as a strategy for confronting unprincipled intimidation by our own government is not an option. Mr. Pelley has earned a special place in the history of We, the People.

I cannot afford yet another Substack subscription; I'm going to do it anyway. Right now.

Scott Pelley’s words defending the freedom of the press and the assurance that any citizen shares the freedom to speak freely are vital at this point in our history, when our freedom to exist is threatened. The much-beleaguered subject of slavery comes to mind because, without being able to speak freely, we would be subject to the chains of tyranny. The Wake Forrest speech Mr. Pelley delivered, I consider akin to the words of Frederick Douglass, Lincoln, MLK, Obama, and Nelson Mandela. Eloquent words of hope at the right time. One man full of hate and resentment cannot be allowed to silence the citizenry. I hope 60 Minutes' mission to report freely and truthfully is not diluted by the merger, but if it is, there will be other media that insist the truth be told. A place where Mr. Pelley can continue to speak freely. I commend the Media and Democracy Project for acknowledging Scott Pelley, a true American hero.

THANK YOU one & all at MAD Project for recognizing Scott Pelley for his courageous reporting on the corrupt administration and its criminal leader. Scott has been a rock of truth, accuracy and good journalism, shining a light on the darkest places in our fragile democracy. Has been, for decades...we trust him, and we desperately need his clear, bold voice in this time of threat, corruption and shameless greed.   I know you are in the cross-hairs of this criminal administration, and I hope you will continue to stand against them and for the truth - even when it's difficult, even dangerous to do so. It matters, and we applaud your integrity.

Sincerely yours-

To the MAD Project, I would like to respectfully submit Sabrina Haake for your monthly award. Her qualifications are her tenacity for reporting the truth and her commitment to engaging Americans to fight for our freedom. Inform yourselves by reading her Substack posts. Terry Moran of ABC and Scott Pelley are targets of Trump's First Amendment bashing. Despite these journalistic heavy hitters being under attack, Sabrina is not silent. She freely joins them to resist tyranny and makes us feel safe to be warriors for freedom. She should be acknowledged for her courage. Writers, if you agree, please say so.

The idea that a single tyrant has a death grip on free press and free speech is so anti-constitutional and illegal. If CBS gives one cent in that lawsuit, it may open the floodgates for more just like it. As soon as CBS offered a “settlement” the tyrant demanded more. Giving any money is a reinforcer and further emboldens the tyrant. The oppression is worsening every day in this country. If CBS could hold the line and stay on their reputable path without caving to the tyrant or being influenced by the merger deal, there may be hope.
