Donald Trump is a malignant cancer growing on American democracy. The media has abandoned it’s duty to truthfully report the imminent danger Trump poses to our country under a misguided notion of press neutrality and fairness.

I often wonder how Americans wake up every morning and believe that what they're witnessing is normal.

* they're eating the pets

* sharks and batteries

* the late great Hannibal Lecter

* $100,000 gold watches and other grifts

* she was born mentally disabled

* my beautiful beach body

* one day of extreme violence

None of this is normal. Nothing about Trump — a serial liar, philanderer, sexual predator, fraudster, convicted felon — is normal. Yet, the press is reporting on this election as if it's a normal contest between two normal candidates. This "sanewashing" of Trump is a dereliction of duty on the part of the press. As Parker Molloy wrote recently in The New Republic: “By continually reframing Trump’s incoherent and often dangerous rhetoric as conventional political discourse, major news outlets are failing in their duty to inform the public and are instead providing cover for increasingly erratic behavior from a former — and potentially future — president."

I couldn’t agree more. But as I say in this piece they are failing epically to put all the pieces together of what Trump is saying & promising- his revenge plans on any perceived opponents including the press, his massive bloody deportations, his Project 2025 plans, his demonizing of migrants, immigrants & trans people & his incessant lies - it’s fascism. The major press is refusing to tell readers what he is - a fascist. And that if elected he will end democracy. They refuse to report the biggest story since the Civil War - the possible end of American Democracy.

The media owners back the Bloated Yam because he promises them tax cuts, which guarantee greater profits.

The reporters who cover the Bloated Yam regard him as a colorful story and are utterly ignorant of any aspects of American history.

Remember, Katie Couric, on the eve of Bush the Younger's invasion of Iraq: "I think Navy SEALS...ROCK!"

I want to know what she had to say when they court-martialed some for torturing and urinating on prisoners.

Thank you for being so clear about what is really going on with the former president. It was a breath of fresh air. I wish you could get your message out to independent media with millions of followers. The duty to warm messengers seem to be found by very few people.
